Weight: 187.6 (down 5.8 pounds)
Measurements: Lost 1" in arms, thigh, and waist for 3" total loss!
I was down 7 pounds Friday, until I ate pizza at the Rock for dinner. I thought I might gain a pound... nope! 3.2 pounds for some pizza. NEVER again! It frustrated the heck out of me, but at the same time it showed me that I can't just "cheat" while I'm trying to lose.
I joined a gym and met with a personal trainer. She's really confident that I can lose the weight I want to lose in a fairly short amount of time. I meet again with her on Tuesday for a workout session... I am still hurting from our "meeting" on Thursday! haha! I made it to the gym 3 days and did yoga at home 2 days this week. Yesterday I was bound and determined to run. I put my treadmill at 5.0 and ran for 30 minutes straight. I didn't run as far as I used to run in a 30 minute time frame, but I'm starting from scratch again. I am planning on a 5k in May or June and I'm hoping to beat my best timed race of 29.46 .
I can do this!!!

a different journey
On this blog I've documented our journey to get pregnant and have a healthy baby. I feel so amazingly blessed to have my little man now. For everything that we went through to get him, I'm a better person. Now, though that I have this little miracle... I have some weight to lose. Wait... a lot of weight to lose!
A few of my friends have dropped a significant amount of weight and have inspired me to get my flabby buns in gear. I'm joining a gym, cutting the carbs and really going to bust my rear to be a better me.
In July 2009, I got to a good goal weight with Weight Watchers. It took me 8 months to lose 30 pounds. I'm hoping to not take that long again, considering I have 40+ pounds to lose to get where I want. Nothing against WW, but I'm doing a low carbohydrate diet this time. I've done it before and I lost about 45 pounds in about 4ish months and I kept if off until I got pregnant with my oldest. Seems like the best idea to me. So, I'm on here hoping for some accountability, tips and encouragement.
Starting weight: 193.4
Goal: 145 (what my drivers license says!)
